Baba Budangiri is a mountain in the range of the Western ghats of India located towards the northern part of the Chikmagalur district. It is also called as Dattagiri & Chandra Drona Parvatha. Baba Budangiri is named after the Muslim saint Hazrat Dada Hayat Khalandar, the famous Sufi saint who used to reside in the Baba Budangiri Mountain.
It stands tall at 1930 meters. The best time to visit the Baba Budangiri region is March to April since this is the primary flowering season in these hills.
